In June Chinese company Huawei Technologies passed Apple Inc in run for second place in global sales of smartphones, Reuters reports.

Data of marketing research firms showed that Huawei strengthened its positions in Europe and widened its share in home market.

Analytics note that recenty Huawei could release flagman phones with latest technological features like triple camera.

Revenue grew 15% during first six months of 2018.

Company’s share in global market increased to more than 15%. As a result, Huawei now passed Apple with 12% share. It follows right after Samsung that takes about 20% of world market.

As of China, then shipments grew to 100 million in second quarter from 91 million phones in first quarter. As a result, company’s share in China grew 6% to record 27%.

China became key market for a company that was pushed out of US market, where their phones are not sold by any major operators.
