Most of P&G's products are imported to Canada from the US. Canadian authorities decided that they are not essential and denied to free them from tariffs.
This month Canada answered to US duties on aluminum and steel by imposing duties to C$16,6 billion of American products. Additional 10% tax was imposed on a wide range of consumer products from soap to hairecare goods.
P&G is the second largest consumer packaged goods company in the world after Nestle SA. It gets 3% of from Canada, which was $65,1 billion last year.
