Tariffs on aluminum (10%) and steel (25%) became effective in the beginning of June. Last month the US also promised to impose 20% import duty on cars assembled in European Union. It will hurt automobile indistry in EU, especially in Germany.
At present import duty for cars from EU into US is 2,5%. Rate on American import cars into EU is 10%. According to WTO's rules, EU cannot reduce tariff for the US only. EU is also getting ready to impose tax on IT-giants, including Apple and Google by the end of 2018. France insists on 3% tax on "digital turnover" of such companies.
