According to forecasts that appeared in the beginning of this month, growth of global GDP in 2018-2020 will be at 3,7%. It will then slowdown to 3,6% in 2021-2023. In 2022 it will exceed $100 trillion.

Bloomberg defined the countries that will contribute the most to world’s GDP growth.

Even though China’s economy will continue slowing down, and by 2040 its growth might be slower than of the US (OECD’s forecast), in the nearest future the country will make the largest contribution into global growth. It will be 27,2% in 2018-2019 and increase to 28,4% in 2023. Share of US will decline from 12,3% in 2018-2019 to 8,5% in 2023.

Meanwhile, contribution of India to global GDP growth will become more significant. It will grow from 12,9% in 2018-2019 to 15,9% in 2023.

It shall be noted that role of such countries as Iran, Turkey, Indonesia (3,7% in 2023) and Bangladesh will increase, while share of G7, including Japan, Germany, Italy and Canada will slowly decline.
