World Bank reduced the estimate for economic development pace of East Asia and Pacific region, Reuters reports. Among reasons are global trade tension risk and volatility of capital flows.
According to the Bank, developing economies of the region shall use available macroeconomic measures at full scale to protect itself from outside shocks.
Growth pace in the region, which also includes China, will slow down from 6,6% last year to 6,3% this year and 6,0% in 2019. Forecast for 2019 is lower than was estimated earlier in April.
Chinese economy will grow with 6,5% pace this year and will slow down to 6,2% next year.
