In a whole, transactions in the country grew by 1,9% in July compared with June. Sales increase in Toronto was 7,7%, while in Fares Valley region close to Vancouver it was 5,6%.
Home prices fell by 0,4% related to last month, however, they grew by 2,1% in last 12 months. Prices in Toronto lost 0,5%, in Vancouver 0,6%.
House buyers encountered more strict qualification rules that aimed at curbing speculation in Toronto and Vancouver. At the same time, Bank of Canada raised interest rates four times in last year. It caused serious decline at the start of the year. However, now sales rebound.
