On Monday Marriott International Inc informed about reduction in revenue per available room in North America, which is the largest market for the company, Reuters reports. Such tendency has been shown for three quarters already. Shares of largest hotel chain in the world fell 0,4%.

On Monday Marriott International Inc informed about reduction in revenue per available room in North America, which is the largest market for the company, Reuters reports. Such tendency has been shown for three quarters already.

Shares of largest hotel chain in the world fell 0,4%.

Company expects increase of the revenue per available room that is an important indicator of hotel chain’s health by 1,5% to 2% in the region due to Independence Day.

Annual value of this parameter for Marriott worldwide, which also owns such brands as Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis, will be 3%-4%.

Meanwhile, company raises profit per share from $5,43-$5,55 to $5,81-$5,91.

Net income grew to $610 million from $489 million year earlier.

Company’s shares traded for $124,45.
