Boeing announced that it beat Airbus in regards to amount of sales reported during Farnborough Air Show, where two planemakers took about 900 orders, Reuters reports.
Boeing won 528 orders, and Airbus reported about 431 new deals.
However the situation with the winner is unclear since in case of about 400 deals buyers preferred to stay anonymous. Such situation is very unusual for this event, which traditionally takes place to attract publicity. Most likely it was caused by intensifying trade conflicts in the world.
In addition to passenger airplanes, Boeing noted higher demand for its freighters, that was caused by higher demand in e-commerce sector.
