Federal Bureau of Investigations has more than 130 cases related to cryptocurrencies, Bloomberg reports. They involve such crimes as trafficking, illegal drugs sales, kidnapping and others.

Although it is a very small share of total volume of FBI’s cases, agency points to increasing illegal activities connected to cryptocurrency payment.

FBI also talks about pluses and minuses of using digital money. Distribution system that lies in the heart of blockchain technology allows tracking cryptocurrencies easier than traditional money. However, anonymity of deals makes the situation more difficult.
