Number of monthly users of this platform for pictures exchange reached 1 billion earlier this month. This can help it to get revenue exceeding $10 billion within next 12 months. Instagram attracts new users faster than Facebook site. Most likely app’s users number will exceed 2 billion next five years, analytics forecast. Although parent company already crossed this level, Instagram’s audience is younger, which makes it more attractive for advertisers. And unlike Facebook, Instagram still shows growth in the US.

Nest year application can bring up to 16% of Facebook’s revenue compared with 10,6% last year.

Facebook shares dropped by 3,7% among wider market weakness. This year they already grew by 10% compared with 1,5% growth of S&P 500 index.
