According to managers of Airbus, based in Toulouse (France), exit from common market and customs union without transit agreement will cause serious disruptions in UK production, and company will have to reconsider its investments and long-term strategy in the country.
UK leaves the bloc next May, and warning from Airbus that provides high-qulity jobs in the country and supports extensive supply chain is a serious signal.
Other companies also started taking serious steps. Crucial auto production sector is under biggest threat. Jaguar Land Rover moves its production operations from the UK to Slovakia and plans firing workers.
Unilever announced that it chose Netherlands for its new headquarters, and this decision will most likely result in company's exit from FTSE 100 index.
Besides having 14000 workforce, Airbus also has 4000 suppliers in the UK and supports more than 100000 jobs in supply chain.
