Due to increase in the US oil stockpiles, price of WTI oil declined, Bloomberg reports. As a result, the difference between price of WTI oil and other world benchmarks now is the largest in more than three years.

WTI oil lost 0,4% of its value after dropping as much as 0,6% during last two trading sessions. Brent oil went up by 0,7% on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The reason of such different behavior of two oil futures is in rising inventories and production in the US. At the same time, risk of delivery restrictions from Iran and Venezuela put upper pressure on oil prices in London.

Lack of pipes to transport oil from inland fields of the US to oil processing plants located at Gulf of Mexico resulted in stockpiles increase.

WTI price with July delivery was $71,59 per barrel. Brent costs $79,46 a barrel today. Yesterday it grew up to $79,80. Futures in Shanghai increased by 0,2% and cost 485,5 yaun.

US inventories increased by 5,78 million barrels to 438 million last week. Bloomberg forecast was 2 million barrels.

Experts expect widening difference between oil prices in the nearest time.
