Inflation in Turkey slowed down

Turkey's inflation slowed down in November, Bloomberg reports. It declined from 15-year maximum registered in October. This is a sign that interest rates hike by the country's central bank performed in September has its effect on economy.

Turkey's inflation slowed down in November, Bloomberg reports. It declined from 15-year maximum registered in October. This is a sign that interest rates hike by the country's central bank performed in September has its effect on economy.

Annual consumer inflation fell to 21,6% from 25,2%. During a month prices fell byа 1,44%. Average inflation according estimates of economists surveyed by Bloomberg was 23%.

Inflation of food prices slowed down to 25,7% from 29,3%. Annual inflation of energy prices fell to 25,4% from 29,4%. Producers' prices fell as well.

Lira gained after data was released and grew by 1% to 5,1629 per dollar.
