This measure will help to prevent price spike on the oil market. China was also included in the list mentioned above.
Brent oil price fell last month by 15% from the peak level of $85 per barrel, when first information about possible exclusions appeared along with OPEC’s members announcement about abilities to raise output to prevent any gap on the market. Oil was traded for $73,04 per barrel today in the morning.
Exclusions are however temporary and assume gradual reduction of import from Iran. Full list of countries will be published on Monday.
The US already reduced import of Iranian oil from 2,7 million barrels of oil per month to 1,6 million barrels.
