Sales in first half of the year grew more than analytics forecasted. Besides, company improved etimates for earnings in second half due to US and China markets rebound. Shares grew by 1,1% today.
Last year Nestle demonstrated the lowest sales growth in more than two decades. After negative comments of activist fund Third Point, Nestle announced its plans to perform strategic analysis of its life insirance business Gerber, cut hundreds of jobs in Europe and make a deal with Starbucks. Company also made some replacements in the board adding experts in consumer products.
China supported growth in Asian-Pacific region by 4,4%. Company started selling more products online, and buyers are purchasing more coffee goods.
Besides, Nestle continues investing in its initiative related to healthy food.
